Yin yoga

Yin yoga is a type of yoga aimed at increasing our flexibility and range of motion, bringing emotional balance within our body, by reaching a state of harmony between our yin and yang energies.

In yin yoga the positions (asanas) are held for longer period of time (usually 5 minutes), giving our body the time to gradually adjust into the pose and giving our mind the opportunity to slow down. 

As we activate our parasympathetic nervous system, it is a great practice for releasing stress and anxiety, and reaching emotional balance.
